Quest to Nowhere

I never finished Mass Effect 1, at least until the day Mass Effect 2 was released. I picked up ME1 on PC during Steam’s holiday sale intending to finish it so I would have a save to import into ME2. I played ME1 on 360 originally but never finished it, so the Steam sale provided a nice way to play the game over again, and get the save to import.

I’ll keep this quick. I kind of don’t care about the Apple iPad. It looks neat, but I’m not about to pay $500 for one. Maybe if it were $250 I’d be more interested in the thing, but I guess I don’t really need a screen for my living room to use while watching TV. Granted I have an iPhone and a computer technically in my living room, but even if it wasn’t I still don’t think I’d want it.

I finished Bayonetta a few nights back, but I couldn’t really rationalize it until the day after I finished it. See I completely enjoyed the game while I was playing it, not just the fighting but every part of it, but I couldn’t figure out why.

As part of my Masters program I’m in I have to complete a capstone, which can either be a thesis or a project. Well its that time of year again, when everyone is putting out their lists of the best videogames of the year. Been busy lately, hence the lack of updates. This post is less about why, then to just to force me to get back into the swing of things with writing. So basically I’ve been busy with a new quarter of classes starting, been trying to get my capstone thesis off the ground (which is a whole… thing,) and then playing a lot of games (which probably should be what next post is about.)

A friend of mine Jess over at her blog made a little list of who she considers to be the worst female cartoon characters. It’s very good so wanted to link to it.
